The House of Minerva , so called in honour of Bath’s own personal goddess from the days of ancient Rome, offers a dazzling selection of every type of chocolate confectionery ranging from carefully made truffles, pralines and chocolate of every kind. Minerva’s confectionery is carefully displayed to present the viewer with the tantalising task of choosing which treat will provide the best opportunity of satisfying their every indulgence in a chocolate experience. Philippe says he never stops being delighted when a customer, accustomed to the usual low grade chocolate, samples real chocolate for the first time. Invariably, they pause for a moment while the chocolate melts on their taste buds and as the scent is released the ecstatic customer , suddenly struck with wide eyed wonder exclaims ,” Wow- there really is a difference !”
